A 50KM COURSE TRAVERSING THE HARBOUR SHORE FROM NORTH HEAD LOOKOUT IN MANLY TO HORNBY LIGHTHOUSE IN WATSONS BAY.
Pioneered by Irish Support Agency President, Alan Humphreys, this 50km walking challenge is a symbol of hope, resilience, and the power of community coming together for a common purpose. It's a reminder that every step forward, no matter how small, can lead to positive change and transformation.
Embarking on a 50km fundraising walk is not just a physical challenge; it's a journey of solidarity, purpose, and resilience.

My Story
I am raising much-needed funds for the Irish Support Agency (ISA) so they can continue their vital work within our Irish community here in NSW. Their outreach and dedicated programs are both diverse and complex, ensuring that our fellow Irish receive the same—if not better—support in times of crisis as they would at home in Ireland.
In 2024, I took on the first-ever Head to Head challenge alongside four fellow participants. Despite it being one of the wettest days on record, we pushed through after a previous rescheduling, determined to complete the 50km journey in a single day. It was an intense test of physical and mental endurance.
For me, the idea of a sunrise-to-sunset challenge is symbolic—reminding us that even in the darkest times, there is always light and support if we reach out for it.
